WHO IS AN R.M.T?
A massage therapist is a regulated health professional who has received comprehensive academic and practical training at a recognized school before completing written and clinical provincial examinations, thus becoming a registered member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).
Massage therapists can be identified by their Certification of Registration, usually found in their primary place of practice or by their 1.D card that is worn when treating outside their practice.
Official receipts can be issued by an R.M.T , however, massage therapy is not covered by OHIP. Many extended health plans do include massage therapy and it is asked that you please check your insurance policy prior to appointments for details of your coverage. |
